At Okanagan Athletic Therapy we love to help injured athletes, from 14 to 18 years of age get back to competing in the sport they love, quickly and safely. Protecting the athletes athletic dreams and future opportunities. Without having to worry about permanent damage or re-injury and having peace of mind.
When you experience an injury from sport or exercise – we know it’s very tempting to leave it and hope it’ll simply “go away on it’s own” with time and rest… That you’ll wake up someday and like “magic”, it’ll be as if it never happened in the first place – but that’s usually not the case, and often the injury ends up worse than it was when it first started.
We also know that being injured brings fear, worry and helplessness. You don’t know what’s wrong, if it’s permanent or if you’ll be able to recover and get back to the sport you love so much.

Thought the pain would go away on it’s own – but it didn’t
Paid several visits to the Doctor, only to be told to “rest” and “take some painkillers” – then weeks later go back to see the Doctor again, only to be prescribed MORE rest, and an even stronger dose of painkillers
Tried a few YouTube exercises, but those exercises either didn’t do a thing or aggravated the pain making it 10 times worse
Thought it would be a good idea to rest because the pain was so bad, but all that did was make the area even more stiff and tight

Having personally suffered major injuries in the past through sports, Marina knew she wanted to help other people who had also suffered injuries- acute or chronic.
Marina has been helping athletes just like you for years who want to recover as quick as they can, so they continue playing their sport safely, and without the fear of re-injury.
Okanagan Athletic Therapy believes young athletes shouldn’t lose opportunities due to inadequate recovery.
