Athletic Therapy

Athletic Therapy is a branch of physical rehab that specializes in musculoskeletal care and exercise as medicine. Fully-trained and certified across Canada, Athletic Therapists are proficient in the use of numerous skills and techniques to return from injury and pain to activity.

Certified Athletic Therapists employ a model of rehabilitation that offers an accelerated recovery from numerous injuries and conditions to return individuals to activity, performance, and everyday life. Through a medical history, postural evaluation and a functional assessment, a practitioner will be able to accurately identify and target the source of pain or dysfunction in a client. Treating and rehabilitating the source of the problem includes, but is not limited to manual therapy, massage, soft-tissue release, exercise prescription, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and hot/cold therapies.
